You're not kidding. I installed OS/2 2.1 on my PS/2 70 a while back. Twenty floppies later..... :)

Haven't done that for a long while but have v2 through v3 on floppies should I ever feel masochistic.

I'm using 2.1 - as I have OS/2 2.1 drivers for it's MCA network card. She's a PS/2 56SX, 386 8Mb with an 80Mb SCSI setup.
23 floppies :S

Actually bought this PS/2 from manuka, so it's almost on-topic.

I got my Magnum and two AT cases, but am eyeing up that A4000 too ;)
Acorn normally isn't my thing but it was one of my first computers growing up (Amstrad CPC464 upgrade to CPC6128, then Acorn A3010 and shortly after upgraded to A4000), it wasn't decorated with yellow when it was new though!

They do SVGA as well. I know because, when I was like 12, I set it to SVGA mode and freaked out my Acorn display, I wasn't a happy chappy until we found the reset function in the book.

I've set my highest bid on the A4000. As they say let the games begin... I asked Kendall last night to list some network cards as well. I see there're a few more goodies up too. Good stuff.

Edit 1- Got the 3.7 rom pack. Will replace a RiscPC600s OS 3.5 roms, providing newer cdrom and hdd support. Also better network support. The minimum for SA cpus as well.
Edit 2- Got the 2x IDE mini podules. One of the drives will be removed and go into the 410/1.
Edit 3- Phew!

LOL!, some hard bidding there. Ok Spidey, I'm out. An example of a RISC machine would have been good to round out the collection but It's not a model I'm wedded to so I'll save my pennies for something I want more.

Beware of snipers at the end.

Hope someone on this board picks it up. With manuals, and in working clean condition it has some value.

ehehe I was amusing myself with the 99c business

I should have been 'out' at $100, but quite attached to the idea of having one of these again and I have room/desire to set it up permanently. I only want one Acorn - the other model I had as a kid was a 3010 - but even back then I got annoyed with disk swapping - so the 4000 will do the job nicely.

Not outbid yet, shall watch my cellphone closely (no internet at home yet, real pain in the bum).

The Magnum turned out to be a non-runner (caps probably), but it's semi-seized 10 meg Tandon drive is now unseized and booting DOS 3.3 ;)
