Pity DrDos 5.0 disks weren't included in this one or I'd snap it up:

Ah yeah, different version, only just spotted that.

Side note: When I bought an Acorn A4000 new back in the day with the PC emulator software (emulates an 8088) - it came with DR DOS 6.
I should probably try out a few of the different versions and see what magic had been spun in there - I don't remember much of DR DOS 6. Concurrent DOS could be interesting as well.

I've still got my original DrDos 6 bundle. Box is a bit tatty now. Got Novell Dos 7 at some point though haven't used that yet. Already Have IBM Dos 5.0 at least one box still sealed. IMSs Real/32 is an interesting beast being a multi user Dos with a Concurrent Dos heritage. There is an option to install as single user if you wanted. The version I've got is ment to support Fat32 and built-in zip100/ls120 drive support in the kernal I believe.

The Acorn x86s processor cards for the RiscPCs I aquired came with IBM Dos 6.3. Quite a neat setup and hard case seeing MS Windows 3.x running under RiscOS.

Ever give the Dos China Union version of MS Dos 7 a shot at all? Totally illegal and you're totally evil for using it of course
Kinda made sense if you were not into Windows. It's nice FreeDos is about and has an active following but really from what I gather that really is for more modern hardware.

Haven't really tried any other versions of DOS except for MS/PC DOS and DR DOS 6 on the Acorn back in the day.
I think setting one up with DR DOS would be a good idea, I'll have to pick one.

What I'd like, is a Microsoft branded boxed copy of MS DOS 3.3 - the ones sold to vendors who didn't bother to get it renamed in their honour.
CP/M-86 would be nice too but I wouldn't hold my breath on that!

I remember (when I had the A4000 new) seeing the pictures of Windows 3.1 in a RISC OS window running of a 486 card in magazines at the time. Really wanted one back then!

Placed a Buy Now on another set of wfw/MS Dos 6.22 disks quite at random. Quite unsure why lol. Maybe I need to go on some 7 step recovery program. Got enough stuff to last my life time. The spare 710 card, 3.6 roms and A4000 ram turned up this morning.

Some other nice old system up for grabs down your way Jonno. Looks like someones having a clean out.

Good work, if I'd have spotted them I'd have done the same thing lol

Yeah the Zenith/Wang/C128 guy? I'm not so keen on those at that price unfortunately. The Zenith looks rough and is the floppy model (the other version had a HDD in the second bay), and the Wang has one of those nasty LCD displays and potentially not working - although I'd REALLY like that SCSI drive (if it is SCSI). If the price drops it'd be worth a trip to the Hutt.
