CFFA3000 is back on sale

Postby mrad01 on Thu Sep 12, 2013 8:13 pm

Just in case you missed out on the amazing CFFA3000 card for the Apple II - there are 500+ back on offer from the manufacturer. Don't hesitate. Don't question if it is any good. It is great and if you have an Apple II - it is essential.

Thanks for the heads-up. I gave up trying to make my own floppy emulator due to the lack of affordable debugging tools (oscilloscope). I have ordered one of these bad boys.

I will have 2 of these soon! They are incredible awesome.
And I have also ordered 2 of the CFFA switches as well. Lets you "switch" floppies for certain games etc. Worth a look while you are getting the CFFA ordered

Go figure. Just when I give up and plonk down some money on this thing, I had an idea why my own project wasn't working, and... sure enough I was right. Now I don't actually need this CFFA3000. D'oh!

Shayde, do you not want your CFFA3000? I expect you'll want to have a play with it, but PM me if you decide you don't want it. A second one would be useful.

I saw you bidding against Ron on ANOTHER Apple IIe platinum though, Marcus. How many of those do you have now? :) (I just about bid on that one, but I don't need another one at that price.)

To answer your question... I have 11 Apple II series machines. One '78 Apple II, II+, II europlus, IIe, IIe enhanced, 2 x IIe Platinums, Green IIc, Colour IIc, ROM01 IIGS, 10MHz ROM03 IIGS.

I'm missing a few things still.. A black "Bell and Howell" II+, a IIc+ and I'm also after a Dick Smith Cat. (Laser 3000)

I also have a 386sx laptop, some sort of XT, a Mac LC 4/75 with a full '040 and more PII/III Dell Optiplex's than I care to admit. (Which I am looking for homes for, so if anyone needs "tweeners", I can probably help.)

Yes, I have a few too. 6x Apple IIe Plats, 1x Mac 128, 4x Mac Plus, 3x Mac SE/30, 3x Mac SE.....and more....fun times!

I won another Apple IIe the other day which was just put onto TradeMe with a buy now of $100. That was an easy decision. I can't help it...

Wow, you guys sure love your Apples! I imagine getting one of those B&H Apples will be very hard - they're super rare aren't they? Just paint one of your collection black. :D

I recently communicated with a guy that just scrapped an Apple III because he got sick of having to fix it all the time. Compared to all these Apple II's that have survived all these years, the Apple III was much more unreliable. Still, shame as it is for a classic computer to get broken down, I'm getting an Apple III monitor out of it, so I don't mind so much.

That's a shame. I'm surprised he scrapped it. He should have sold it.

As long as you're reasonable about price and honest with what the faults are, other collectors are realistic about the Apple III. It's not like we don't all know what it's faults were, 30 years later. :)

There's currently a Bell & Howell Apple II for sale on eBay for $US275, though it looks more blue than black:
