Some interesting comments in the Q&A. I would tend to think that the missing ingredient is the event and occasion to give it significance to more people. The computer by itself is not worth a lot, and the signatures themselves I'm sure will have some presidents for market value, but it's still somewhat tantamount to a personalised autograph. It's a fascinating story that would be great in a NZ museum.
Don't do it too often (think I've said before) but a simple search of "apple II" from the root 'Computers' category will net you most of the apple collectibles that are ever likely to show up for auction.
