And just like back then, there's good ones and bad ones. The ASUS Zenbook Prime in its earlier revision was by far the worst I've ever seen. I tried to type "The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog". Not a hard ask, and it's one of those standard old fashioned typing drills that touch typists need to be able to perform reasonably quickly.
And I couldn't. The keyboard itself only picked up half the entries because the amount of force required to actuate the keys is too high for the amount of travel... it felt like to get it to operate correctly you needed to really wail on it. By contrast the Toshiba and HP ones feel great. Not Lenovo X1 Carbon grade, but close.
Just the local Commodore hobo and middle-aged PC hoarder.
