Wanting to buy or borrow Lisa 2/10 I/O and CPU cards

Hi guys, I recently acquired a Lisa 2/10 and I've tried to get It going and stable but haven't been able even with swapping around different cards which came with the unit, would any of you or someone you know be willing to lend or sell some please? Thanks in advance

Hi Terry, nope no battery damage luckily, basically it shows a rolling screen and only sometimes like 1 out of 5 times actually boots properly, I've cleaned all the card edges and such but its still intermittent, so I think its a problem with the cards themselves. Thanks.

Ok. Rolling screen. It's likely to be video card...maybe caps or perhaps just an adjustment.

There are so many things that can go wrong with these old machines. You are sure the boot failure is not due to the disk?

Yeah ok, I've recapped the power supply but I haven't got to the video board just yet, yup definitely sure the boot failure has nothing to do with the disk because when it doesn't boot it just brings up horizontal lines and doesn't beep when just the CPU and IO card are inserted.

That does seem to be a rolling screen in that first set of images.

At least the fact it is intermittent would suggest some flaky connection or cap out of tolerance. In my experience if ICs fail they fail..full stop. Is it worse when the machine gets warm? I'm sure you would have reseated any socketed chips, yes?

There is a Lisa facebook site and also LisaList that has some Lisa gurus on it. Do you subscribe to those?

Unfortunately I only have one Lisa/2 10 CPU board and thats the one in my machine. I won't be sending that anywhere.

I'm guessing A fault in the lower RAM addresses could cause a fault like this too. Do you have two 512k RAM boards and if so have you tried swapping their positions?

To be honest I haven't run the Lisa for more than 10 minutes but during that time it hadn't noticeably gotten worse, yup reseated all the chips. No I haven't subscribed to those but will do now, no problem I personally wouldn't send my only working board either just in case it got damaged, I've tried all the 4 RAM boards I've got which I believe are 512k but I don't know if they even are that. Thanks.
