Hi Terry,

Just a quick "Thanks" for the work that you have put into your site and particularly the Exidy Sorcerer download section. I read this project on the VCF forum and it has prompted me to get my Sorcerer out of its box and as I type this I'm waiting for Defender to load.

Thanks again and keep up the good work.

Andy.

Hello Terry.
I have now watched almost all of your videos and appreciate the great care and detail you put into them. It feels like a service provided for the vintage computer collecting community. Is there a possibility of producing some videos about vintage Unix workstations, like SGIs or Suns in the future? Thanks again for your wonderful videos,
JC

Thanks JC. Unfortunately I don't own any of those machines and (given present space limitations) are unlikely to. Thanks for support though.

Hi Terry,
What a great collection! I have owned a couple of those machines and wished I'd kept them. My high school in Wanganui had a DS System 80, Apple II and a Sharp 'pocket computer'. Truely magical times!!
Thanks for a great site!

Great collection, excellent website, thank you. I've only owned a few of the computers that you are displaying, and many I've never seen. I really enjoy the commentary and history of the systems and how you managed to resurrect them into working condition. I like you, also have a very fond love for these obsolete machines and have a very small collection (horde) of modern throw aways.
I am totally inspired, thank you again.

Great site Terry. How time flies by. Now long retired as a telecommunications engineer, I still have fond memories of using computers gone by:
IBM 1620 in 1968
HP 9100A 1970
ICL System 4 1971
HP 9800 1974
Olivetti Logos 1978 - a lovely looking machine. Why oh why did I give it away?
Computerphone 1987
and of course the myriads of PC clones thereafter.
There was, and is, something magical about writing a program before using it to generate results. Word processors, spreadsheets and database software may be efficient to use but oh so boring.

Glad to find you.
I bought my TRS-80 M2 in Australia, 1982.
It works well now with Expansioin Box and Floppy.
Ii would need some spare parts: Button caps "7","8" and spare power supply.
I woould need advice how to couple uptodate printers to Exp Box parallel output.
I am glad to share all programs, codes & experience.

Hi Tezza,

Just a note to say "thank you". I found your YouTube videos and then this website while doing a little research. I ended up watching all the videos well into the morning! And I've been back to the website many times to read your stories from your collection. Great stuff!

I started in 9th grade on a Commodore PET 2001 (in 1979). Always wanted a C64 but had no money to buy one. I later inherited a Northstar Advantage (after I married in 1987) and learned CP/M. The first computer I bought was a Tandy 1400FD laptop. Learned MS-DOS. Then finally ended up in Windows, where I remain with Windows 10.

I'm not in the computer industry. I use them for business. But it is my hobby at home. You've inspired me to continue what I started many years ago. I had started setting up a small "museum" in my basement several years ago but it fell to disuse. I'm now back at it and getting it cleaned up. Can't wait to see if the N* Advantage still works!

Thanks again and I hope you're able to keep up the videos. I haven't learned to do that yet but I may have to learn how to put up some videos for these machines I have. Any tips on how to start will be appreciated. What equipment do you have for making these videos?

Take care,
Sean

Hi Sean, Thanks for those comments. Good luck with the museum. I just use my mobile phone for the videos now (Samsung Galaxy 5) and Windows Movie Maker. Fairly basic stuff smile

Terry:
Great website! I have a Compaq SLT 286 that I bought in the late 80's. At almost 15 lbs., it was cutting edge and considered sleek. I've kept it in a closet along with other laptops which have been retired. The last time I booted her up was after Y2k to see if it would still work--It did!! Tried to turn her on today and it would not reboot. Got an error message that said to insert the start up disc. I have no such thing and would not know where to find it. I use computers because I'm lazy. I'm hoping you can steer me in the right direction. Do you have any ideas?

Hi Terry,
its been a long time since I last contacted you and I can't remember my log in.
I am still collecting but am having a clean out of a few machines and looking to repair a few others.
I have an Apple Lisa 10/2 ( XP? ) which has a faulty power supply and am looking for someone who I could contact to have it fixed.
It is completely dead and keeps blowing fuses, so assume something is not right.
I have read of what to look for, but I am not suitably skilled to go repair it myself, so would welcome any recommendations who I could send it to.

many thanks
John

love your videos. The Spectrum bought for me by my mum & dad is now loading WAV files from a PC in my garage. I also did a composite video conversion. I have an Atari 600XL I expanded internally to 64K running SIO2PC connected to the same PC. ! Keep up the good work! Oliver
